What You Should Know About Your Food to Avoid Acidity.

Acidity – Acidity is a set of symptoms caused by excess production of acid by the gastric glands of the stomach.

  • Causes:

  1. Stress.
  2. Spicy Food.
  3. Skipping Meals.
  4. Overacting, etc.
  • Symptoms:

  1. Restlessness.
  2. Burping.
  3. Burning in the throat & stomach.
  4. Chest or upper abdominal pain, etc.
  • Acidity can be prevented by the following methods:

  1. Drink plenty of water.
  2. Eat small frequent meals.
  3. Don’t skip any meal.
  4. Exercise daily.
  5. If overweight then reduce weight.
  6. Sleep well.
  7. Sit straight when eating.
  8. Include melons, banana, coconut water, yogurts in your diet.
  9. Don’t smoke.
  10. Avoid drinking alcohol.
  11. Don’t stress.
  12. Avoid aerated drinks.
  13. Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you sleep.
  14. Avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, fried and processed food, etc.
  15. Avoid citrus fruits.
  16. Avoid excessive drinking of tea and coffee.
  17. Do not wear tight fitted clothes.
